Ingredients

Main
  • 1.5 ounces 45 milliliters premium vodka
  • 4 to 5 ounces 120 to 150 milliliters Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix
  • 0.5 ounce 15 milliliters fresh lime juice
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 to 3 dashes hot sauce e.g., Tabasco
  • Celery salt for rimming the glass
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • 1 celery stalk for garnish
  • 1 lime wedge for garnish and rim
  • Olives or crispy bacon strips for topping optional

Equipment

  • Highball or rocks glass
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Bar spoon or long spoon
  • Cocktail shaker (optional)
  • Cutting board
  • Small plate
  • Citrus juicer or squeezer
  • Knife

Method

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes and set aside. Pour celery salt onto a small plate, rub the rim of the glass with a lime wedge, and dip it into the celery salt to coat evenly.
  2. Add 1.5 ounces of vodka to a cocktail shaker filled with ice or directly into the prepared glass if not using a shaker.
  3. Pour 4 to 5 ounces of Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix into the shaker or glass.
  4. Squeeze 0.5 ounce of fresh lime juice into the mixture.
  5. Add 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce and 2 to 3 dashes of hot sauce, adjusting to taste.
  6. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds until cold and frosty, or stir gently for 5 seconds if building in the glass.
  7. Strain the mixture into the salt-rimmed glass filled with fresh ice.
  8. Garnish with a celery stalk, lime wedge, and optional olives or bacon. Serve immediately.

Notes

Always use freshly squeezed lime juice and a quality vodka. Keep Zing Zang mix refrigerated so ingredients are cold before mixing.
