Method
- Start with a clean, room-temperature 1.5-ounce shot glass.
- Measure 0.75 ounce of Bailey's Irish Cream into a jigger and slowly pour into the shot glass, allowing it to settle for 1–2 seconds.
- Measure 0.75 ounce of coconut rum in a jigger.
- Hold a bar spoon upside down just above the Bailey's surface and slowly pour the coconut rum over the back of the spoon to layer it on top.
- Let the shot glass sit undisturbed for 10–15 seconds to allow the layers to fully separate.
- Inspect the shot from the side to ensure a clear two-tone separation.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.

The key to perfect layering is pouring the coconut rum slowly over the back of a bar spoon held just above the Bailey's surface; patience beats speed every single time.
