Ingredients

Main
  • 2 ounces 60 ml vodka
  • 1.5 ounces 45 ml cranberry juice
  • 1.5 ounces 45 ml fresh lime juice
  • 2 ounces 60 ml club soda or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wheel or twist for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Highball glass or rocks glass
  • Jigger for measuring
  • Cocktail spoon or bar spoon
  • Knife for cutting citrus
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Fill a highball or rocks glass with ice cubes until it is three-quarters full.
  2. Using a jigger, measure and pour 2 ounces (60 ml) of vodka over the ice.
  3. Pour 1.5 ounces (45 ml) of cranberry juice into the glass.
  4. Squeeze 1.5 ounces (45 ml) of fresh lime juice into the glass.
  5. Top the drink with 2 ounces (60 ml) of club soda or sparkling water.
  6. Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 10 seconds to combine all ingredients evenly.
  7. Taste and adjust balance: add a splash more club soda if too sweet or more cranberry juice if too tart.
  8. Garnish with a lime wheel or twist and serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

Notes

Always use fresh lime juice and quality vodka for the best flavor. Serve immediately to preserve carbonation.
