Method
 

  1. In a large jar or pitcher, combine the coarsely ground coffee and cold water.
  2. Use a stirring spoon to mix the coffee and water thoroughly.
  3. Cover the jar or pitcher and let steep at room temperature for about 12 hours.
  4. After steeping, strain the coffee concentrate into a clean container using a fine mesh strainer or coffee filter.
  5. Transfer the strained cold brew concentrate into a bottle or container for storage. Keep in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  6. To serve, mix equal parts of the cold brew concentrate with water or milk over ice.
  7. Add sweeteners like simple syrup or flavored syrups, if desired.
  8. Pour into a glass, add ice, and enjoy.
