- Step 1: Run a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita or coupe glass, then dip the rim into salt on a shallow plate to create a salt rim.
- Step 2: Place a cocktail shaker within reach and add ice cubes until it is three-quarters full.
- Step 3: Measure and pour 2 ounces of premium silver tequila into the shaker over the ice.
- Step 4: Add 1 ounce of fresh tamarind juice to the shaker.
- Step 5: Measure and add 0.75 ounces of fresh lime juice and 0.5 ounces of agave nectar to the shaker, stirring gently with a bar spoon to mix.
- Step 6: Pour 0.5 ounces of triple sec or Cointreau into the shaker.
- Step 7: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the shaker is well-chilled.
- Step 8: Strain the mixture through a cocktail strainer into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
- Step 9: Garnish the drink with a lime wheel on the rim of the glass.
- Step 10: Serve immediately while chilled to ensure the best flavor and temperature.
