  • 2 tablespoons lime juice optional
  • Ice cubes for serving

Method
 

  1. Combine tamarind paste with hot water in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Stir until tamarind paste is fully dissolved.
  3. Strain the mixture through a strainer into a pitcher.
  4. Add sugar to the strained tamarind liquid and stir.
  5. Stir in lime juice if using.
  6. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  7. Serve over ice cubes in glasses.
  8. Garnish with lime wedge or mint leaves if desired.

Notes
