Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tea bag of herbal tea like chamomile or peppermint

  • Strainer or tea infuser
  • Cup or mug

Method
 

  1. Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a small saucepan.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the grated fresh ginger.
  3. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add your herbal tea bag to the saucepan and let it steep for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  5. Carefully strain the tea into a cup or mug, discarding the ginger and tea bag.
  6. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm.
  7. Finally, mix in the lemon juice for brightness.
  8. Take a moment to breathe in the warm aroma before sipping.

Notes

For an extra kick, sprinkle a pinch of cayenne pepper into the tea — it can help clear congestion!
