Method
- Place your mixing bowl or measuring cup in the freezer for 2 minutes to chill the equipment.
- Pour 1/2 cup of cold heavy cream into the chilled bowl or measuring cup.
- Add 2 tablespoons of salted caramel syrup to the cream.
- Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch (about 1/8 teaspoon) of sea salt.
- Using a milk frother on low speed or a wire whisk, begin whisking slowly to incorporate air.
- Continue whisking for 2–3 minutes until the mixture forms soft peaks.
- Check the texture by lifting the whisk: the foam should be light, airy, and hold its shape loosely.
- Spoon the salted caramel cold foam over your iced coffee or cold brew, letting it cascade slightly down the sides.
Notes
Make foam immediately before serving, as it begins to deflate after about five minutes at room temperature.
