Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup cold brew coffee or chilled espresso
  • 1 scoop about 25 grams vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice whole, almond, oat, or your preference
  • 1 cup ice cubes loosely packed
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional, adjust to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt

Equipment

  • Tall glass or shaker bottle
  • Blender (optional but recommended)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon for stirring or blending stick
  • Ice cube tray

Method

  1. Pour 1 cup of cold brew coffee into your blender or glass, ensuring it is chilled. If using hot coffee or espresso, let it cool to room temperature first.
  2. Add 1 scoop (about 25 grams) of vanilla protein powder directly to the coffee to prevent clumping.
  3. Pour in 1/2 cup of your chosen milk to create a creamy texture.
  4. Add 1 cup of ice cubes, loosely packed, into the blender or glass.
  5. Drizzle in 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup if desired, adjusting sweetness to taste.
  6. Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt and stir gently to balance flavors.
  7. Blend on high speed for 30 to 45 seconds until smooth and creamy, or seal and shake vigorously for about one minute in a shaker bottle.
  8. Pour the finished protein iced coffee into a tall glass and serve immediately. Stir briefly if the drink separates as it sits.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor; stir if separation occurs.
