Method
- Place the champagne flute in the freezer for at least 5 minutes to chill.
- Lightly dampen the rim of the glass and dip it into superfine sugar for a sweet, sparkling edge.
- Pour 1 ounce of cranberry juice into the chilled glass.
- Measure and pour 0.5 ounce of orange liqueur into the glass.
- Slowly pour 4 ounces of chilled champagne into the glass, filling nearly to the rim.
- Gently stir with a bar spoon for 2 to 3 rotations to blend flavors while preserving carbonation.
- Drop 2 to 3 fresh cranberries into the drink as garnish.
- Serve immediately while the champagne is still fizzy and cold.
Notes
Make just before serving to maintain the champagne's carbonation and freshness.
