Ingredients

  • 2 ounces heavy cream
  • 1.5 ounces vodka
  • 0.5 ounces pistachio extract
  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup
  • Ice as needed

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or shot glass for measuring
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Small serving glasses or shot glasses
  • Measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Chill your shot glasses in the freezer for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice.
  3. Measure 1.5 ounces of vodka into a jigger and add to the shaker.
  4. Add 0.5 ounces of pistachio extract to the shaker.
  5. Pour 0.5 ounces of simple syrup into the shaker.
  6. Add 2 ounces of cold heavy cream to the shaker.
  7. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds.
  8. Strain the mixture evenly into the chilled shot glasses using a Hawthorne strainer.
  9. Serve the shots immediately while they are perfectly chilled.

Notes

Use cold heavy cream and pre-chill equipment for the best creamy texture. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days, shaking gently before serving.
