Method
- Fill your cocktail shaker or mixing glass three-quarters full with ice.
- Measure and pour 2 ounces of vodka (or gin) into the ice-filled shaker.
- Add 0.5 ounce of dry vermouth to the shaker.
- Pour in 0.5 ounce of pickle juice.
- Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 10 seconds to chill and dilute.
- Place a cocktail strainer over the shaker and strain the mixture into a chilled martini or coupe glass.
- Garnish with 2 to 3 pickled pearl onions on a cocktail pick or dropped into the drink.
- Optionally add a pickled vegetable (jalapeno slice, asparagus, etc.) and a sprig of fresh dill or an olive.
Notes
Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes before serving to keep the drink cold longer and prevent dilution.
