Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1.5 ounces vodka use a quality brand you enjoy
  • 0.5 ounces peach schnapps the key to peach flavor
  • 0.75 ounces fresh lemon juice squeeze it yourself
  • 0.5 ounces peach puree or peach nectar optional but recommended
  • 0.25 ounces simple syrup balances the tartness
  • Ice cubes about 1 cup for shaking
  • Fresh peach slice for garnish
  • Pinch of sea salt for rimming optional

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger
  • Strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Coupe glass or martini glass
  • Cutting board
  • Small knife
  • Ice tray or ice bucket

Method
 

  1. Chill your coupe or martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes to keep the cocktail cold.
  2. Add about 1 cup of ice cubes to your cocktail shaker, filling it roughly halfway.
  3. Measure and pour 1.5 ounces of vodka into the shaker over the ice.
  4. Add 0.5 ounces of peach schnapps to the shaker.
  5. Squeeze and add 0.75 ounces of fresh lemon juice into the shaker.
  6. Pour 0.5 ounces of peach puree and 0.25 ounces of simple syrup into the shaker.
  7. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds until the outside is frosty.
  8. Strain the cocktail into your pre-chilled glass using a Hawthorne strainer.
  9. Garnish with a fresh peach slice on the rim or floated on top and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately while cold. Pro Tip: Always chill your glass beforehand and shake with plenty of ice for at least 10 seconds for the best balance and texture.
