Method
- Fill a kettle or pot with filtered water.
- Heat the water to a gentle boil and let it cool for 30 seconds until it reaches about 200 to 210°F.
- Measure 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried mullein leaves into your tea infuser or strainer.
- Place the infuser in your cup and slowly pour the hot water over the leaves.
- Allow the tea to steep undisturbed for 7 to 8 minutes to extract full flavor.
- Remove the infuser or strain the tea into a clean cup and discard the leaves.
- Add honey and fresh lemon juice if desired and stir until dissolved.
- Taste and adjust strength or sweetness, then serve warm.
Notes
Store dried mullein leaves in an airtight glass jar away from direct sunlight and heat for up to one year.
