Mr Black Espresso Martini

A smooth, coffee-forward espresso martini made with Mr Black cold brew coffee liqueur, vodka, dry vermouth, and fresh espresso, shaken vigorously to create a signature layer of crema.

Ingredients
  

Main
  • 25 milliliters Mr Black cold brew coffee liqueur
  • 50 milliliters vodka preferably premium quality
  • 10 milliliters dry vermouth
  • 10 milliliters fresh espresso or strong cold brew cooled to room temperature
  • Ice enough to fill your shaker
  • Sugar cube or cocoa powder for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Mixing glass or bar spoon
  • Strainer
  • Martini glass or coupe glass
  • Bar towel
  • Ice

Method
 

  1. Chill the martini glass in the freezer for at least five minutes.
  2. Pack the cocktail shaker three-quarters full with fresh, large ice cubes.
  3. Measure 50 milliliters of vodka and pour into the shaker.
  4. Add 25 milliliters of Mr Black cold brew coffee liqueur to the shaker.
  5. Pour in 10 milliliters of dry vermouth.
  6. Add 10 milliliters of fresh espresso or room-temperature cold brew.
  7. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for ten seconds.
  8. Strain the cocktail into the chilled martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer.
  9. Garnish with a sugar cube or dust the crema with cocoa powder if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately to enjoy the signature layer of crema while it's at its peak.
