Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 cups fresh herbs such as mint, chamomile, or lemon balm
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice optional

  • Teapot or heatproof pitcher
  • Strainer or cheesecloth
  • Measuring cups
  • Tea cups or mugs

Method
 

  1. Gather fresh herbs from the garden or local market.
  2. Boil 4 cups of water in a teapot or kettle.
  3. Rinse herbs thoroughly to remove dirt or impurities.
  4. Pour boiling water over herbs in the teapot.
  5. Cover teapot and let steep for 10 minutes.
  6. Strain the tea using a strainer or cheesecloth.
  7. Stir in honey and lemon juice, if desired.
  8. Serve hot or let cool for iced tea.

Notes

Experiment with different herbs to find your perfect blend. Store leftover tea in the fridge for up to 3 days.
