McDonald's Caramel Frappe

A homemade version of McDonald's signature caramel frappe that tastes just like the drive-thru favorite, made with simple ingredients and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee cooled to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons caramel syrup
  • 1.5 cups ice cubes
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons whipped cream for topping
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce for drizzle

  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glass or frappe cup
  • Spoon or straw
  • Whipped cream dispenser (optional)

Method
 

  1. Brew one cup of strong coffee and cool to room temperature or chill in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Add 1.5 cups of ice cubes to the blender pitcher.
  3. Pour the cooled coffee into the blender over the ice.
  4. Add 1/2 cup whole milk to the blender.
  5. Measure and add 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup.
  6. Blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  7. Pour the blended frappe into a tall glass, leaving about 1 inch of space at the top.
  8. Top with 2 to 3 tablespoons of whipped cream.
  9. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce over the whipped cream in a back-and-forth motion.

Notes

For extra cold frappe, freeze the blender pitcher for 15 minutes before blending.
