Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 package 3 oz lime jello
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 3/4 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed
  • Lime wedges for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Boil 1 cup of water.
  2. Add lime jello to the boiling water in a mixing bowl, whisking for about 2 minutes until dissolved.
  3. Pour 1 cup of cold water into the mixture, cooling it.
  4. Add 3/4 cup of tequila, 1/4 cup of triple sec, and 1 tablespoon of lime juice; stir well.
  5. Arrange jello shot cups on a baking sheet.
  6. Fill each shot cup three-quarters full with the jello mixture.
  7. Chill the jello shots in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.
  8. Optionally, garnish with lime wedges before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled for best results. Add a fun twist by using flavored vodkas or different jello flavors.
