Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 3/4 cup whole milk or milk of your choice
  • 1.5 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: cinnamon stick or whipped cream for garnish

Method
 

  1. Pull two shots of espresso or brew 1/2 cup strong coffee directly into your serving mug.
  2. Add 1.5 tablespoons pure maple syrup to the hot espresso and stir for 30 seconds until fully dissolved.
  3. Pour 3/4 cup milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat to 150–155°F (about 3 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt into the hot milk and froth or whisk for 30 seconds until aerated.
  5. Slowly pour the frothed milk into the mug with espresso and maple syrup, holding back foam if desired.
  6. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or whipped cream if using and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftover espresso and maple syrup separately from milk for best reheating results.
