Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 Lipton tea bags black tea or your favorite flavor
  • ½ cup sugar adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Boil the water by bringing 4 cups of water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan.
  2. Steep the tea by removing from heat and adding the 4 Lipton tea bags. Allow them to steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Sweeten the tea by removing the tea bags and stirring in ½ cup of sugar while the tea is still warm.
  4. Cool the tea to room temperature, which can also be accelerated by refrigeration.
  5. Prepare the pitcher by filling it halfway with ice cubes to chill the tea instantly.
  6. Combine and stir by pouring the cooled tea into the pitcher over the ice and giving it a gentle stir.
  7. Garnish with lemon slices for a refreshing touch, if desired.
  8. Serve and enjoy immediately by pouring the iced tea into glasses filled with ice.
