Method
- Place your martini glass in the freezer for at least 2 minutes while you prepare the drink.
- Pour ice into your mixing glass until it's about three-quarters full.
- Using a jigger, measure exactly 2 ounces of vodka and pour it over the ice in your mixing glass.
- Measure 1 ounce of limoncello and add it to the mixing glass.
- Measure 0.5 ounces of dry vermouth and add it to the glass.
- Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 10 to 15 seconds.
- Place your strainer on top of the mixing glass and slowly pour the cocktail into the chilled martini glass.
- Hold a fresh lemon peel horizontally over the drink and give it a quick twist to spray the oils across the surface. Drop the lemon peel into the glass as a garnish.
Notes
Freeze your limoncello bottle in the freezer for an incredibly velvety texture. Always buy authentic Italian limoncello for best results. Stir, don't shake, to avoid clouding the drink. Use fresh lemon for the twist every time. Drink immediately after making for optimal flavor and temperature.
