Ingredients

Main
  • 1.5 ounces Lillet Blanc
  • 2.5 ounces Prosecco
  • 1 ounce soda water
  • 4 to 5 ice cubes
  • 1 orange slice for garnish

Equipment

  • Highball or wine glass
  • Jigger or shot glass for measuring
  • Cocktail spoon or bar spoon
  • Ice cube tray
  • Citrus knife or channel knife for garnish
  • Cocktail stirrer or long spoon

Method

  1. Chill the glass by filling it with ice cubes and a splash of cold water; let sit for 30 seconds, then discard the water.
  2. Pour 1.5 ounces of Lillet Blanc into the chilled, ice-filled glass.
  3. Slowly add 2.5 ounces of Prosecco over the Lillet Blanc to preserve the bubbles and create gentle layering.
  4. Top with 1 ounce of soda water to extend the volume and enhance the sparkling mouthfeel.
  5. Gently stir with a bar spoon for about 10 seconds, stirring from the bottom upward to combine ingredients without losing carbonation.
  6. Taste the drink and adjust sweetness or dryness by adding more soda water or Prosecco as desired.
  7. Slice a fresh orange into a half-moon shape for garnish.
  8. Place the orange slice on the rim or drop it into the glass and serve immediately while the ice is solid and bubbles are active.

Notes

Keep all ingredients and glassware well chilled; serve immediately to enjoy maximum effervescence and minimal dilution.
