Lemon Iced Tea

Ingredients
  

Main
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 bags black tea
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large saucepan, bring the 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the 4 tea bags to the boiling water and remove from heat. Steep for 5 minutes.
  3. After steeping, add the 1/2 cup of sugar to the warm tea and stir until dissolved.
  4. Remove the tea bags and strain the tea into a pitcher to remove any leaves.
  5. Stir in the 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
  6. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  7. Refrigerate the tea for at least 1 hour.
  8. Serve over ice cubes in glasses and garnish with lemon slices.

Notes

Serve chilled for best flavor. Consider adding a touch of honey for sweetness or fresh mint leaves for an additional refreshing taste.
