Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 ripe banana sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup whole milk cow's milk, oat milk, or your choice
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon brewer's yeast
  • 1 tablespoon natural almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes optional, if using fresh banana

Equipment

  • High-powered blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glass or mason jar
  • Stirring spoon
  • Airtight containers for overnight prep

Method
 

  1. Slice the banana into half-inch rounds and freeze for at least two hours.
  2. Gather and prepare your high-powered blender and measuring equipment.
  3. Add 1 cup of milk to the blender.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt to the blender.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of rolled oats and 1 tablespoon of brewer's yeast to the blender.
  6. Add 1 tablespoon of almond butter and the frozen banana slices to the blender.
  7. Add 1/2 cup of blueberries and 1 teaspoon of raw honey to the blender.
  8. Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the blender.
  9. Blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  10. Taste and adjust sweetness with more honey or thickness with more milk if needed.

Notes

Serve immediately while cold or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 24 hours and stir before drinking.
