- Pour 1/4 cup hot water into a 10-12 oz mug to warm it for 30 seconds, then discard the water.
- In a small saucepan or milk frother, combine 1/4 cup horchata concentrate, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt; stir until no clumps remain.
- Heat the horchata mixture over medium heat for 2 minutes until steaming but not boiling.
- Meanwhile, pour 1/2 cup almond milk into a frother or small saucepan and steam or heat over medium heat for about 2 minutes until steaming and foamy.
- Discard any residual water from the warmed mug and place it aside.
- Pour the warm horchata mixture into the prepared mug (about 3 ounces).
- Slowly pour the steamed almond milk into the mug, holding back foam with a spoon; then spoon the foam on top.
- Dust the foam with extra ground cinnamon and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
Serve immediately while the drink is hot and the foam is fresh. Adjust sweetness to taste.
