Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 ounces tequila silver or blanco
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 ounces fresh orange juice
  • 0.5 ounces triple sec or Cointreau
  • 0.5 ounces cranberry simple syrup
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Lime wheel or cranberry for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon salt and dried cranberry rim coating

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid
  • Jigger or measuring cup for precise portions
  • bar spoon or regular spoon for stirring
  • Cocktail strainer or fine mesh strainer
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Small shallow plate or saucer for rim coating
  • Coupe glass, rocks glass, or margarita glass

Method
 

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon salt and dried cranberry on a shallow plate to create the rim coating.
  2. Run a lime wheel around the rim of your glass to moisten it.
  3. Press the moistened rim into the salt and cranberry mixture to coat evenly.
  4. Pour 2 ounces of silver tequila into a cocktail shaker.
  5. Add 1 ounce fresh lime juice, 0.5 ounces fresh orange juice, 0.5 ounces triple sec, and 0.5 ounces cranberry simple syrup to the shaker.
  6. Fill the shaker with 1 cup of ice cubes.
  7. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds.
  8. Strain the mixture into the prepared rimmed glass.
  9. Garnish with a lime wheel or fresh cranberry and serve immediately while cold.

Notes

Always use fresh-squeezed lime juice for the best flavor and mix and serve immediately to maintain the drink’s crisp texture.
