Method
- Measure out 1 cup of frozen blueberries and 3/4 cup of frozen raspberries into your blender.
- Pour 1 cup of Greek yogurt and 1/2 cup of whole milk directly into the blender with the berries.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar to the blender.
- Secure the blender lid tightly and blend on high speed for about 1 minute until everything is completely smooth and creamy.
- Stop the blender and check consistency. If too thick, add another 1/4 cup of milk and blend for 15 seconds; if too thin, add a handful more of frozen berries.
- Divide the shake evenly between two tall glasses, pouring slowly to avoid splashing.
- Top each glass with a dollop of whipped cream if desired, and optionally sprinkle a few fresh berries on top for color.
- Serve immediately while cold and thick. Use a wide straw or spoon to enjoy.
Notes
Always use frozen berries for the best thick texture. Don't skip the Greek yogurt as it provides the creamy consistency. Chill your glasses in the freezer for 5 minutes before pouring to keep the shake cold longer. The shake is best enjoyed immediately but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, though it will separate slightly. Can also be frozen in popsicle molds for up to 2 weeks.
