  • 1.5 ounces light rum
  • 0.5 ounce melon liqueur such as Midori
  • 1 ounce fresh pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce fresh cranberry juice
  • 0.5 ounce fresh lime juice
  • Ice for shaking and serving
  • Lime wheel for garnish
  • Pineapple wedge for garnish optional

  • Jigger or measuring cup

Method
 

  1. Chill your glass by filling a highball or rocks glass with ice; let sit for 1 minute then discard the ice.
  2. Measure and pour 1.5 ounces light rum and 0.5 ounce melon liqueur into a cocktail shaker.
  3. Add 1 ounce fresh pineapple juice, 1 ounce fresh cranberry juice, and 0.5 ounce fresh lime juice to the shaker.
  4. Fill the shaker three-quarters full with ice.
  5. Shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds to chill and dilute the cocktail.
  6. Strain the mixture into the chilled glass filled with fresh ice.
  7. Garnish with a lime wheel and optional pineapple wedge; serve immediately.

Notes

You can pre-measure spirits and juices into a bottle and refrigerate for up to 24 hours; shake with fresh ice before serving.
