- Chill your glass: Place ice cubes in a rocks or margarita glass and let chill for 1 minute.
- Prepare lime juice: Cut a fresh lime in half and juice both halves to yield 0.75 ounce of fresh lime juice.
- Fill the shaker: Add fresh ice cubes to fill the cocktail shaker about three-quarters full.
- Add spirits: Pour 1.5 ounces of premium silver tequila and 0.75 ounce of Grand Marnier into the shaker.
- Add lime juice: Pour in 0.75 ounce of fresh lime juice to balance the sweetness.
- Add agave nectar: Measure and add 0.5 ounce of fresh agave nectar (or simple syrup) to the shaker.
- Shake: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the shaker is cold.
- Strain: Discard most of the ice from the chilled glass and strain the cocktail into the glass using a strainer.
- Garnish and serve: Add a lime wheel to the rim or twist a lime peel over the top, then serve immediately.
Notes
Always use fresh lime juice and chill your glass beforehand to maintain optimal temperature and flavor.
