Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1.5 oz premium soju chilled
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice about half a lemon
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice about half a lime
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • Ice cubes about 4 to 5 pieces
  • 0.5 oz sparkling water or club soda optional but recommended
  • Lemon wheel or twist for garnish

Equipment

  • Jigger or measuring shot glass (1.5 oz and 0.5 oz measures)
  • Cocktail shaker or jar with tight-fitting lid
  • Strainer or fine-mesh sieve
  • Rocks glass or highball glass
  • Bar spoon or long spoon
  • Cutting board and small knife (for citrus garnish)

Method
 

  1. Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes and chill for 30 seconds.
  2. Pour 1.5 oz of chilled soju into a cocktail shaker.
  3. Add 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice to the shaker.
  4. Add 0.5 oz fresh lime juice to the shaker.
  5. Add 0.5 oz simple syrup into the shaker.
  6. Fill the shaker with 4 to 5 ice cubes.
  7. Shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the shaker feels frosty.
  8. Discard the ice from the chilled glass and strain the cocktail into it.
  9. Top with 0.5 oz sparkling water and gently stir.
  10. Garnish with a lemon wheel or twist and serve immediately.

Notes

Always use fresh citrus juice and keep the soju chilled. Serve the cocktail immediately for best flavor.
