  • 3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey or maple syrup
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger

Method
 

  1. Rinse your blueberries under cold water and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Remove any shriveled, moldy, or damaged berries from your batch.
  3. Chill your juicer pitcher, strainer, and drinking glasses in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  4. Working in batches, feed the blueberries into the juicer according to manufacturer instructions.
  5. Let the juice flow into your chilled pitcher without forcing or pressing.
  6. Pour the juice through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl for clarity.
  7. Stir in lemon juice, honey, and other flavor additions to taste.
  8. Pour juice into chilled glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Fresh blueberry juice is best enjoyed immediately and keeps in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
