Easy Lemonade Recipe for Kids

  • 4 medium fresh lemons
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water

Method
 

  1. Rinse the lemons under cool running water to remove any residue.
  2. Cut each lemon in half lengthwise using a sharp knife with adult supervision.
  3. Juice all eight lemon halves using a citrus juicer or reamer, collecting the juice in a bowl.
  4. Strain the lemon juice through a fine mesh strainer into the pitcher to remove pulp and seeds.
  5. Measure and add 4 cups of cold water into the pitcher with the strained juice.
  6. Add 1/4 cup granulated sugar to the pitcher.
  7. Stir the mixture for about one minute until the sugar fully dissolves.
  8. Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or water if desired.
  9. Pour the lemonade into glasses and serve immediately over ice if desired.

Notes

Best served fresh; store in the refrigerator up to 3 days without ice and stir before serving.
