  • 8 oz brewed coffee cooled or refrigerated
  • 4 oz whole milk or light cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup or simple syrup
  • 6 to 8 ice cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar or honey optional for extra sweetness

Method
 

  1. Brew 8 ounces of strong coffee using a medium or dark roast and your preferred brewing method.
  2. Transfer the hot coffee to a separate container and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or until chilled.
  3. Place 6 to 8 ice cubes into a 16-ounce glass.
  4. Pour the 8 ounces of cooled coffee over the ice cubes.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup and stir briefly to combine.
  6. Pour in 4 ounces of whole milk or light cream.
  7. Stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until the syrup is fully dissolved.
  8. Taste the iced coffee and adjust sweetness or milk by adding more syrup or milk if desired.

Notes

Freeze cooled coffee into ice cube trays to prevent dilution and customize sweetness to taste.
