Method
 

  1. Chill your martini glass to keep your drink cool longer.
  2. Gather your dry gin, vermouth, and ice.
  3. Pour 2 ½ ounces of dry gin into your shaker or stirring glass.
  4. Add ½ ounce of dry vermouth. Adjust based on your preference.
  5. Fill your shaker or glass with ice.
  6. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds or stir gently for about 30 seconds.
  7. Using a strainer, pour the mixture into your chilled martini glass.
  8. Add an olive or a twist of lemon peel for garnish.
