Ingredients

Main
  • 0.5 ounces Dr Pepper soda
  • 0.5 ounces amaretto liqueur
  • 0.5 ounces bourbon whiskey
  • Ice optional, for chilling

Equipment

  • Shot glasses (1-2 ounce capacity)
  • Jigger or measuring spoon for precise portions
  • Bar spoon or small spoon for stirring
  • Cocktail shaker (optional, but helpful for batches)
  • Bottle opener or cap remover
  • Small mixing glass or cup

Method

  1. Gather and measure 0.5 ounces of amaretto, 0.5 ounces of bourbon, and 0.5 ounces of Dr Pepper soda using a jigger or measuring spoon.
  2. Pour 0.5 ounces of amaretto into a shot glass.
  3. Add 0.5 ounces of bourbon to the shot glass with the amaretto.
  4. Stir the amaretto and bourbon together for about 5 seconds using a bar spoon.
  5. Slowly pour 0.5 ounces of Dr Pepper soda into the glass while stirring to combine and preserve carbonation.
  6. Stir gently for 3 seconds to evenly distribute all ingredients without losing carbonation.
  7. (Optional) Add a small piece of ice and stir for 10 seconds, then strain into a fresh chilled shot glass if you prefer a colder shot.
  8. Serve the shot immediately while it is cold and fizzy.

Notes

Chill your shot glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes and keep bottles of amaretto and bourbon chilled to ensure every shot tastes crisp and balanced.
