  • 1.5 ounces vodka or banana-flavored vodka for extra depth
  • 0.5 ounces Kahlua coffee liqueur, the "dirty" element
  • 0.5 ounces creme de banana banana liqueur
  • 1 ounce heavy cream or Irish cream liqueur like Baileys
  • 1 medium ripe banana peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Pinch of cocoa powder for garnish optional
  • Chocolate syrup for glass rim optional

  • Cocktail glass or rocks glass

  • Strainer (if using a cocktail shaker)

Method
 

  1. Gather and prepare ingredients: measure vodka, Kahlua, creme de banana, and heavy cream. Peel and slice the banana.
  2. If using a serving glass, freeze it for 5 minutes to keep the drink cold longer (optional).
  3. Add 1 cup of ice cubes to the blender.
  4. Layer the banana slices on top of the ice.
  5. Pour in 1 ounce of heavy cream.
  6. Add 1.5 ounces of vodka.
  7. Add 0.5 ounces of Kahlua.
  8. Add 0.5 ounces of creme de banana.
  9. Blend on high speed for 15 to 20 seconds until smooth and creamy with no ice chunks.
  10. Pour the blended mixture into the chilled or room-temperature serving glass. Optional: drizzle chocolate syrup on the rim before pouring.
  11. Garnish with a pinch of cocoa powder and serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

Serve immediately. Freeze your glass for 5 minutes before pouring to keep the drink ice-cold longer.
