Method
- Fill your rocks or highball glass with fresh ice cubes, packing them tightly so they don’t melt too quickly.
- Pour 2 ounces of tequila blanco into your cocktail shaker using a jigger for accuracy.
- Add 3 ounces of fresh cranberry juice to the shaker with the tequila.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice into the shaker until you have 1 ounce.
- Pour in 1/2 ounce of simple syrup and add a splash of sparkling water if desired.
- Fill the shaker about halfway with ice cubes and cap it securely.
- Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels frosty.
- Strain the mixture into your prepared ice-filled glass, discarding the ice from the shaker.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and rim with sea salt if desired before serving.
Notes
For best results use fresh cranberry juice and serve in a chilled glass.
