Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1.5 ounces prosecco or sparkling wine
  • 1 ounce aperol
  • 1 ounce fresh cranberry juice
  • 0.5 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 2 ounces soda water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 fresh cranberry for garnish, optional
  • 1 orange slice for garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Cocktail glass or wine glass
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon or long spoon
  • Cocktail strainer (optional)
  • Citrus juicer or hand squeezer

Method
 

  1. Fill a chilled cocktail glass or wine glass with a generous handful of ice cubes.
  2. Measure and pour 1 ounce of Aperol over the ice.
  3. Slowly add 1 ounce of fresh cranberry juice to the glass.
  4. Squeeze or measure 0.5 ounce of fresh lime juice into the glass and stir gently to combine.
  5. Tilt the glass slightly and pour 1.5 ounces of prosecco to control foam.
  6. Top the drink with 2 ounces of soda water or club soda.
  7. Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 10 seconds, combining all ingredients without losing bubbles.
  8. Garnish with a fresh cranberry or an orange slice and serve immediately.

Notes

Use well-chilled glassware and add prosecco and soda water last to preserve carbonation. Serve immediately for best flavor and effervescence.
