Ingredients

Main
  • 4 cups strong brewed coffee cooled completely
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Ice as needed for chilling
  • Pinch of salt

Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or beverage dispenser
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Large mixing spoon or ladle
  • Whisk or milk frother
  • Ladle for serving
  • Small saucepan
  • Thermometer

Method

  1. Brew 4 cups of strong coffee using your preferred method, then set aside to cool completely to room temperature.
  2. Pour the heavy cream into a small saucepan and heat gently over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes, until warm but not steaming.
  3. Pour the warm cream into a large mixing bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk, and whisk for 2 to 3 minutes until smooth and combined.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Slowly pour the cooled coffee into the cream mixture while whisking constantly to prevent curdling and ensure a smooth texture.
  6. Pour in the whole milk and whisk until the mixture is uniformly creamy and smooth.
  7. Transfer the punch base to a punch bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight until very cold.
  8. About 30 minutes before serving, add ice to the chilled punch to keep it cold without diluting, stir gently, and serve.

Notes

Freeze some of the punch mixture in ice cube trays to keep the punch cold without diluting its flavor.
