Ingredients
  

Main
  • 8 ounces brewed coffee hot
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter or ghee
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or coconut cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Pinch of sea salt

Equipment

  • Coffee maker or brewing device of your choice
  • Mug or cup, 12 to 16 ounces
  • Small spoon for stirring
  • Measuring spoons
  • Optional: milk frother or small whisk

Method
 

  1. Brew 8 ounces of coffee using your preferred method (pour-over, French press, drip machine, or espresso) at approximately 200°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Pour the hot brewed coffee into a 12–16 ounce mug, leaving room for the additions.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter or ghee to the coffee and let it melt for 15 seconds.
  4. Pour in 1 tablespoon of heavy cream or coconut cream alongside the melted butter.
  5. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until evenly distributed.
  6. Add 1/2 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup and mix briefly.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt into the mug to enhance the flavor.
  8. Stir the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds using a spoon to emulsify the fats and coffee.
  9. Optionally, froth the top with a milk frother or small whisk for 10 to 15 seconds for extra texture.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture and flavor. Adjust sweetness and cream levels to your preference.
