Ingredients

Main
  • 1.5 ounces 45 milliliters vodka
  • Ice for chilling the glass

Equipment

  • Shot glasses (1.5 to 2 ounce capacity)
  • Freezer or ice bucket
  • Jigger or measuring spoon
  • Bar spoon
  • Cocktail shaker

Method

  1. Chill your shot glass in the freezer for at least 15 minutes or fill it with ice and cold water while you prep.
  2. Select a premium vodka you enjoy drinking straight for a smoother taste.
  3. If you used ice and water, discard them and ensure the glass remains cold to the touch.
  4. Measure exactly 1.5 ounces of vodka using a jigger and pour it into the chilled shot glass in one smooth motion.
  5. For a flavored shot, add your chosen mixer (such as cranberry juice, fresh lime juice, or ginger beer) and stir gently to combine.
  6. Taste with a bar spoon and adjust the spirit-to-mixer ratio if needed to suit your palate.
  7. Serve the shot immediately while it’s ice-cold to maintain a smooth, clean taste.
  8. Drink the entire shot in one smooth gulp and enjoy responsibly.

Notes

Store vodka in the freezer and keep shot glasses chilled for the smoothest, most refreshing shots.
