Method
- Chill your martini or coupe glass in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with 1 cup of fresh ice cubes.
- Measure and pour 2 ounces (60 ml) vodka into the shaker.
- Add 1 ounce (30 ml) cranberry liqueur to the shaker.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice to get 0.5 ounces (15 ml) and add it to the shaker.
- Measure and pour 0.25 ounces (7.5 ml) dry vermouth into the shaker.
- Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds until the outside is frosty.
- Strain the cocktail into the chilled glass, discarding the ice.
- Twist the lime peel over the drink to release oils, optionally rim the glass with sea salt, and skewer 3 to 4 cranberries for garnish.
Notes
Always use fresh lime juice and quality ice. Optionally rim the glass with sea salt and garnish with fresh cranberries for a festive presentation.
