Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 ounces 60 ml vodka
  • 0.5 ounce 15 ml dry vermouth
  • 0.5 ounce 15 ml cherry juice
  • 2 to 3 fresh cherries
  • Ice about 1 cup

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mixing glass
  • Bar jigger
  • Mixing spoon or cocktail stirrer
  • Martini glass or coupe glass
  • Strainer (hawthorne preferred)
  • Channel knife or vegetable peeler (optional)

Method
 

  1. Place a martini glass in the freezer for at least 3 minutes to chill.
  2. Add about 1 cup of ice to your cocktail shaker.
  3. Measure and pour 2 ounces of vodka into the shaker.
  4. Add 0.5 ounce of dry vermouth to the shaker.
  5. Pour 0.5 ounce of cherry juice into the shaker.
  6. Drop 2 to 3 fresh cherries into the shaker.
  7. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds until well chilled.
  8. Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass using a hawthorne strainer.
  9. Garnish with a fresh cherry on a cocktail pick and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately while cold and enjoy the vibrant color and flavor.
