Method
- Run a lime wedge around the outer rim of a margarita glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into kosher salt in a shallow dish to coat evenly.
- Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar three-quarters full with ice cubes.
- Measure and pour 2 ounces of Casamigos tequila blanco into the shaker.
- Add 1 ounce of fresh lime juice to the shaker.
- Pour 0.5 ounce of Cointreau or triple sec into the shaker.
- Add 0.25 ounce of agave nectar (or simple syrup) to the shaker.
- Cap the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the outside is frosty.
- Place a bar strainer over the shaker and strain the margarita into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and serve immediately.
Notes
Chill glassware in the freezer for at least 15 minutes before serving to keep the drink colder longer.
