Method
- Peel a ripe banana and slice it into roughly 1-inch pieces.
- Pour 1 cup of milk into the blender with the banana slices.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt to the blender.
- Blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds until completely smooth and pourable.
- Pull two shots of fresh espresso (or brew 1/2 cup strong coffee).
- Pour the banana mixture into a small saucepan and heat over medium for 1 to 2 minutes until steaming but not boiling.
- Pour the hot espresso into your serving mug, then slowly pour in the hot banana milk mixture while stirring gently.
- Dust the top with a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve immediately while hot to enjoy the creamiest texture; leftover banana milk can be stored separately for up to 24 hours.
