Method
- Chill your coupe or martini glass in the freezer for at least five minutes.
- Fill your cocktail shaker or mixing glass with ice until it is about three-quarters full.
- Measure and pour 2 ounces of gin into the shaker using a jigger.
- Add 0.75 ounces of fresh lemon juice to the shaker.
- Pour in 0.5 ounces of raspberry or cherry liqueur.
- Add 0.5 ounces of simple syrup (1:1 ratio) to balance the acidity.
- Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the shaker becomes frosty and cold.
- Remove the chilled glass from the freezer and strain the cocktail into it, leaving ice behind.
- Express a lemon twist over the drink to release oils, add the twist or edible flowers as garnish, and serve immediately.
Notes
Best served immediately while cold. Always use fresh lemon juice and chill the glass for optimal flavor.
