Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 ounce raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar with the mother
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1/2 ounce warm water
  • 1 thin slice fresh ginger about 1/4 inch thick, optional
  • 1 pinch sea salt optional
  • 1 small pinch black pepper optional

Equipment

  • Shot glass or small drinking glass
  • 1 ounce measuring spoon or shot measure
  • Small spoon for stirring
  • Kettle or microwave for warming water
  • Knife for slicing ginger

Method
 

  1. Pour 1 ounce raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with the mother into a shot glass.
  2. Heat 1/2 ounce of water until warm (about 100 to 110°F) using a kettle or microwave, about 20 seconds.
  3. Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon raw honey to the glass.
  4. Slice a thin piece of fresh ginger (about 1/4 inch thick) and add it to the glass.
  5. Pour the warm water into the glass.
  6. Add a pinch of sea salt and a small pinch of black pepper (both optional).
  7. Stir the mixture with a small spoon for about 10 seconds until the honey dissolves.
  8. Drink the entire shot in one go or sip slowly to build tolerance.
  9. Immediately chase the shot with a full glass of water to protect your tooth enamel and aid digestion.
